Delicate, soft-spoken, and demure, Princess
Tikal is the standard-issue stereotypical damsel in distress. What with Daisy
being strong enough to kill an ox, and Peach's having been kidnapped enough
times to know the Koopa Kastle inside and out, Bowser has set his sights on
Tikal now for his usual capture-and-ransom-the-princess racket. Hey, it pays
the bills.
Tikal is quite delicate and lady-like and so has very little
fighting spirit, but she is one of the
ancient Echidnae, so she has a little fire hidden in her somewhere... it's just
frightfully rare. What she lacks in physical strength and stamina, she makes up
for in tactical logic and a slightly devious sense of humor.
Tikal has
lived quite a sheltered life up to this point and is very shy, though the people
of the Mushroom Kingdom all treat her very well. Tikal spends most of her time
with Knuckles, whom she shares a very close friendship with. (Okay, they're
dating. But keep it quiet. Her dad doesn't know about it yet...) But she
occasionally joins Mario and Co. for a little game of golf or a picnic... Her
opinion of Sonic is a little mixed. On one hand, he's quite annoying and very
rude... but on the other hand, that makes him incredibly funny. But not
attractive in any way!
