Like many female celebrities, Peach is still
known by her maiden name even after being married. Not only is it easier to
remember that way, but let's face it: Peach Mario just doesn't have the same
ring to it. Peach is a quick-witted, competant ruler who does her best to make
life in the Mushroom Kingdom enjoyable for all. Of course, with people like Dr.
Robotnik and Bowser Koopa skunkin' up the joint, it's a pretty daunting task!
(Not to mention Peach's addle-pated father who can barely remember what day it
is!) Peach is good-natured, but, like Mario, she can be a tad self-serving
occasionally and get her friends into trouble.
Mario and Peach are sort
of the Fred and Wilma of the series... well, maybe they're not THAT loud and
annoying, but it's pretty darn close!
Peach is good friend of Tikal's and
is a best friend/rival of Daisy's, often competing against her (and losing) in
golf, tennis, chess, etc. She also enjoys having Luigi around sometimes to talk
some sense into her hot-natured husband; and she always welcomes Tails to
Toadstool Castle, but then who doesn't like that cute little guy,
right?
