To this guy, EVERYTHING is an epic
adventure. Classic videogame icon, elder of the Super Mario Bros. superhero
team, mascot for Nintendo, and world-renown plumber extraordinaire; Mario is
what you'd call a jack-of-all-trades. He's an excellent golfer and tennis-player
and a born leader... but perhaps a bit too money-hungry. Despite being filthy
stinking rich due to a happy marriage to Princess Peach Toadstool (not to
mention royalties from countless videogames and spin-offs), Mario is constantly
dreaming up ridiculous new ways of making more money. Fame and fortune have
gotten to Mario's head as of late and it occasionally takes his more
down-to-earth younger brother Luigi to snap him back to reality.
Mario is
one of the few people who can stand being around Sonic, and, in fact, enjoys the
hyperkinetic hedgehog's company. It's probably because Sonic's low IQ and
insatiable hunger for wealth, recognition, and adventure make it easy to dupe
the poor sap into doing the hard work in Mario's half-baked
schemes...
