Chao
Chao (pronounced "Chow") are cuddly, adorable little
magical animals from Angel Island and EVERYBODY loves them! Really! There has
yet to be a single person who has looked at a chao and not said "aww!" Even
Bowser loves 'em! Chao are (mostly) very sweet-natured and friendly and they
make great pets. In fact, Amy has a pet chao of her own named Chippy. That's him
right up there! ... at least, I think it is. It's kind of hard to tell chao
apart...
It is rumored that the chao have some sort of connection with
the Chaos Emeralds, but nobody knows for sure...
